Victoria Martz

Attorney

Victoria graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 2015 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications – Public Relations and Rhetorical Advocacy, and with a Minor in French. Victoria went on to attend law school at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law located in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she studied for the next three years and graduated with her law degree in May 2018. Victoria passed the Indiana Bar Exam in February 2019, and started her legal career as a Deputy Prosecutor with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

At the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, Victoria prosecuted cases ranging from any type of misdemeanor charge up to level 6 felonies.  During this time, Victoria received extensive training through the Prosecutor’s Office on the prosecution of Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated cases, which she now uses to help those facing such charges to better understand what the evidence is in the case against them, what the best approach is to investigate the evidence based on the specific facts of their case, and what potential resolution options may be available to resolve the case. In addition, Victoria prosecuted and learned how the State investigates and charges various drug and gun possession, and organized crime related cases. Victoria represented the State on all crimes charged up to level 6 felonies, as well as “major” (meaning crimes ranging from level 5 to level 1 felony) felony cases set for hearings on alleged violations of probation, community corrections, and work release. Victoria also represented the State on Sentence Modification Hearings for major felony crimes.

Victoria resigned from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and opened her own private practice in August 2020. In her private practice Victoria represented clients on Divorce Matters, Petitions for Orders of Protection, pending criminal charges, alleged violations of probation and community corrections, sentence modifications, and ordinance code violations.

Victoria came on as an associate attorney with the Law Office of Jesse K. Sanchez in January 2022.

Victoria loves to help individuals from all backgrounds and bring their personal story, experience, and desired outcome to the table as potential resolution options are considered.
